All That I've Loved.

Firstly a bit of back story:

I’m 20yrs old I’m engaged and have a kid who is almost 1.

My generation are lazy, disrespectful, stupid, useless dole bludgers, scumbags and so on, these are things I’m told/constantly reminded of on a day to day basis as people take my age as a number that defines exactly who I am as a person.

It’s true the majority of my generation has let the rest of our generation down and have quickly created a “bad name” for us as a whole. But that’s not what defines me, I as an individual feel for our generation and even more-so for the next generations to come.

The world is changing and it’s starting to become more and more true that people’s concerns/values are not on things of high importance nor are they on things that even concern them as an individual. Life experiences that you go through as an individual define your concerns/values this means that some people will go through their lives without knowing or thinking about some serious problems in the world today, these people could be so lucky to be able to go on with their lives not being able to even comprehend how much a family can be affected by an illness not just for the family member that’s ill but for everyone around that person. (Family, Friends, Colleagues, Strangers in the street)

All illnesses no matter how minor or severe they are have a ripple effect that reaches everyone in some way and the same goes for many other situations besides illnesses.

My thoughts on this situation is that everyone needs to take some time to just think about the day to day struggles that some people may be going through and how it may affect you or how you would deal with the situation instead of being concerned with things minor in comparison.

A bit of perspective always brings compassion to light.
